Before & After Photos and Field Conditions

A transparent visual library showing what was photographed, what visibly changed, and which details cannot be confirmed from an image alone.

Documentation with boundaries

Choose an evidence collection

Air-duct work is shown through paired comparisons. Dryer-vent images are presented as individual field conditions because the available records do not reliably connect them into before-and-after sets. This distinction prevents a useful photo from becoming a misleading claim.

Why the wording matters

Photos support findings; they do not replace an inspection

A close-up can document visible buildup in an accessible section, but it does not show the entire HVAC or dryer exhaust system. It also cannot establish a location, customer identity, service date, tool pressure, measured airflow, drying-time change, energy savings, health effect, or safety outcome unless those facts are supported by separate records.

For that reason, this collection does not attach a city or project details to an image without supporting service records, turn isolated dryer photos into implied before-and-after pairs, or label an unidentified material as mold. A full case study requires a stronger chain of evidence: a verified job record, approved photos, an accurate scope, the method actually used, and a result that can be documented without guessing.

Homeowners can use these examples to ask better questions. Which component is shown? Is the material flexible duct, sheet metal, fiberglass duct board, a plenum, a transition duct, or an exterior termination? Was the same area photographed from a similar angle? Which components were accessible, and what remained outside the scope? Those details are more useful than a dramatic caption.

For deeper context, visit the Learning Center or review the field-note standard. Zarts will add full case studies only when the underlying job details and publication permissions are complete.
